CONTAINER TRANSPORTATION FOR 2000 MT OF VARIOUS PRODUCTS BY ROAD/RAIL

FOR FISCAL YEAR 2079/2080

1.    Salt Trading Corporation Limited (STCL), invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the TRANSPORTATION OF 2000 MT OF VARIOUS PRODUCTS from Visakhapatnam and Kolkata/ Haldia, India to Birgunj, Nepal as well as Kathmandu, Nepal via Raxaul/ ICD, Parsa.

2.    Bidder must quote the price in Indian/Nepalese Currency for the TRANSPORTATION OF VARIOUS PRODUCTS from Visakhapatnam and Kolkata/ Haldia, India to Birgunj, Nepal as well as Kathmandu, Nepal via Raxaul/ ICD, Parsa.

3.  The transporter must have experience of transporting at least 2000 MT of various products in container from Visakhapatnam and Kolkata/ Haldia, India to Kathmandu Nepal within the last 3 fiscal years.

4.    Prices quoted by the bidders shall be fixed based on the fuel price as quoted in clause 24 sub clause (b) of section B of the tender document. If the bidder propose a different formula while quoting its offer, it will be treated as non-responsive and shall be rejected.

5.    Eligible Bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the office of STCL, Central Office, Kalimati, Kathmandu, Tel: +977-1-5371014/5371208, e-mail: stcnepal1963@gmail.com. For all correspondence purposes required by the successful bidder, the details will be provided later.

6.    Bidding documents may be purchased on or before 11.00 hours June 15^th, 2022 to 12:00 hours June 29^th, 2022 from the Salt Trading Corporation Limited, Central Office, Kathmandu, by eligible bidders (principal) or their authorized agent on the submission of a written application, along with the copy of company/firm registration certificate, and VAT Certificate (applicable to Nepali bidders and or local agents) upon payment of a non-refundable fee of NPR 3000.00 Nepalese Rupees Three thousand only) in cash or in form of bank receipt (bank account available upon request) for fee in favor of STCL.

7.    Sealed bids must be submitted by bidder or its authorized agent to the above office STCL on or before 13:00 hours of June 29^th, 2022. Documents received after this deadline shall not be accepted.

8.    Bids must be valid for a period of 30 days counting from the day of bid opening and must be accompanied by bid security, amounting to 2.5% of the total value is calculated based on the largest bid offer price (any mode) multiplied by the said quantity of the bid. The said bid security shall be valid for minimum 30 days beyond the bid validity period, i.e. the bid bond must have a minimum of 60 days’ validity including the date of opening of the bid.

9.    Bid bond 2.5 % issued by a first class commercial Nepali Bank must be enclosed with the tender or the Bid Bond should be furnished in the form of Cash deposit in STCL’s account in Nepal Bank Limited, Kalimati Branch, C/A No: 0042-11-0001267 and Sunrise Bank Limited, Kalimati Branch C/A No: 008000200C.

10.  Bids shall be opened at the 14:00 hours on June 29^th, 2022 at the office of STCL, Central Office, Kalimati, Kathmandu, Nepal.

11.  If the last date of purchasing, submission and opening falls on a government holiday then the next working day shall be considered the last day. In such a case the bid validity and bid security validity shall be recognized with effect from the original bid submission deadline.

12.  Eligible Bidders may be a private entity, government owned entity or any combination of them with a formal intent to enter into a contract.

13.  In case of a force majeure event occurred in the country of Nepal and India as mentioned in the bid during the execution of the contract, the transporter shall supply the goods for extend time acceptable to STCL so as to meet delivery schedule.

14.  The name and identification of the contract are as follows: STC/TRP/2078/2079/0006.

15.  The Purchaser (STCL) reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to annul the bidding process and reject all bids at any time prior to the award of the contract without assigning any reason whatsoever.
